Furniture Delivery Across Southeast Michigan

πŸ“ 6345 Beverly Plaza, Romulus, MI 🚚 Delivery & warehouse pickup πŸ•’ Wed–Sun

We are a family-owned home goods warehouse at 6345 Beverly Plaza in Romulus, Michigan, about five minutes from Detroit Metro Airport and right off I-94 and I-275. That location puts most of Wayne County within a half-hour drive, and it means we deliver across a wide slice of Southeast Michigan — Downriver, the western suburbs, Washtenaw and Monroe counties, Detroit itself, and into southern Oakland County.

This page covers where we deliver, how delivery works, what to do before delivery day, and what to expect if you would rather pick up yourself.

πŸ’‘ The Short Version Warehouse inventory can be delivered locally or picked up at the store. Call (734) 444-7277 with your address and what you are buying and we will quote the delivery for you. Products in our Amazon and Walmart listings ship directly from those retailers on their own schedules — we do not handle those deliveries.

Where We Deliver

These are the communities we serve most often. If yours is not on the list, call and ask — the list is descriptive, not a boundary.

We are in Wayne County, and most of our deliveries land in Wayne, Monroe, Washtenaw and southern Oakland counties. Distance affects the quote, so an address in Monroe or Ann Arbor will price differently from one in Taylor.

How Delivery Works

  1. Call with your address and the item. We quote the delivery when you buy, so there are no surprises at the door.
  2. We schedule a day. Our store hours are Wednesday through Sunday, so delivery days follow the same rhythm. Tell us if a specific day is impossible for you.
  3. Somebody eighteen or older needs to be home to direct placement and sign for the delivery.
  4. Inspect before you sign. This matters more than people think — see delivery day below.
  5. Tell us up front about anything unusual: a walk-up apartment, a spiral staircase, a gravel drive, a gated community, a narrow street, an elevator with a reservation requirement, or a basement stair with a hard turn at the bottom.

If you would rather not wait, most warehouse stock can be picked up the same day if you bring a truck or trailer. Bring straps and a blanket; we will help you load.

Before Delivery Day: Measure

The single most common reason a delivery fails has nothing to do with the truck. It is a doorway, a stair turn, or a hallway that the furniture will not go through. Ten minutes with a tape measure prevents almost all of it.

  • Measure the narrowest point of the whole path, not just the front door. Storm doors, stair landings, hallway corners and basement turns are usually the real constraint.
  • Learn the diagonal depth of your sofa. It is the measurement from the highest point on the back diagonally to the front bottom edge, and it is what actually decides whether the piece fits through a door when tipped. It is always smaller than the stated depth.
  • Check the stair turn. A 90-degree turn at a landing is far more restrictive than a straight run, and a turn with a low ceiling above it is the hardest of all.
  • Clear the path in advance. Move the console table, roll up the runner, take the door off its hinges if you already know it will be close.
  • Know where the piece is going before the crew arrives, and make sure the old one is already out of the way.

Our complete measuring and delivery guide walks through every one of these with the actual numbers, including a table of standard furniture dimensions and the clearances you need around them.

🚚 Michigan-Specific Note From roughly November through March, plan for the driveway and walkway to be cleared and salted before the truck arrives. A crew carrying a 200-pound dresser cannot navigate ice, and a slushy path means wet feet in your house. In summer, if your street has weight restrictions or overhanging branches on a narrow residential road, mention it when you schedule.

On Delivery Day

  1. Inspect before signing. Look at every surface, open every drawer, check every corner. Once the paperwork is signed, damage becomes far harder to claim.
  2. Photograph anything questionable before the crew leaves, with the packaging still present if possible.
  3. Note damage on the paperwork itself, not just verbally. "Scratch on left side panel" written on the delivery receipt is worth considerably more than a conversation nobody wrote down.
  4. Report concealed damage fast. If you find something after the fact, call us immediately — reporting windows on freight damage are short.
  5. Keep the paperwork until you are certain everything is right.

Warehouse Pickup

Picking up yourself is usually the cheapest and fastest option for in-stock items.

  • Address: 6345 Beverly Plaza, Romulus, MI 48174
  • Hours: Wednesday–Friday 11am–5pm, Saturday 11am–4pm, Sunday 12pm–3pm. Closed Monday and Tuesday.
  • Call ahead to confirm the item is on the floor before you make the drive.
  • Bring the right vehicle. A queen mattress does not fit in a sedan, and strapping one to a roof is a genuinely bad idea on I-94.
  • Bring straps and moving blankets. We will help you load; protecting the finish on the drive home is on you.
  • Holiday hours vary, so a quick phone call before a long drive is always worth making.

What About the Amazon and Walmart Listings?

Two different things happen on this site, and it is worth being clear about which is which:

  • Warehouse inventory is sold directly by Wholesale Warehouse Inc. in Romulus. We handle the sale, the pickup, the delivery and any questions about condition.
  • Products in our Amazon and Walmart listings are sold, shipped and warrantied by those retailers. They arrive on the retailer’s own delivery schedule, and returns and warranty claims go through them. We earn a commission on those purchases at no additional cost to you — see our affiliate disclosure.

If you want something next week without leaving the house, the online route is usually better. If you want to see it, sit on it, or have it today, come to the warehouse.

Frequently Asked Questions

What areas do you deliver furniture to?

We deliver across Southeast Michigan from our Romulus warehouse, most often in Wayne County — Taylor, Westland, Wayne, Belleville, Inkster, Dearborn, Livonia, Canton, Detroit and the Downriver communities — plus Monroe County, Washtenaw County including Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti, and southern Oakland County. If your community is not listed, call us at (734) 444-7277 and ask, because the list describes where we usually go rather than a hard boundary.

How much does delivery cost?

It depends on your address and what you are buying, so we quote it when you purchase rather than publishing a flat rate that would be wrong for half of our customers. Call (734) 444-7277 with your address and the item and we will price it on the spot. Picking up yourself at the Romulus warehouse is free if you have a truck or trailer.

Can I pick up my furniture instead of having it delivered?

Yes, and for in-stock items it is usually the fastest and cheapest option. We are at 6345 Beverly Plaza in Romulus, open Wednesday through Friday 11am to 5pm, Saturday 11am to 4pm and Sunday noon to 3pm. Call ahead to confirm the piece is on the floor, bring straps and moving blankets, and bring a vehicle that actually fits it — we will help you load.

What should I measure before a furniture delivery?

Measure the narrowest point along the entire path, not just the front door: storm doors, hallway corners, stair landings and basement turns are usually the real constraint. For a sofa, the number that matters is diagonal depth — from the highest point on the back diagonally down to the front bottom edge — because that is what determines whether it fits through a door when tipped. Our measuring guide covers all of it with the specific numbers.

What do I do if my furniture arrives damaged?

Inspect everything before you sign, and if you find damage, write it on the delivery paperwork itself rather than only mentioning it out loud. Photograph it while the packaging is still present. If you discover damage after the crew has left, call us immediately, because reporting windows on concealed damage are short and get harder to work with the longer you wait.

Do you deliver the products in your Amazon and Walmart listings?

No. Those products are sold, shipped and warrantied by Amazon or Walmart on their own delivery schedules, and returns or warranty claims go through them. We earn a commission when you buy through those links, at no additional cost to you. Only inventory sold directly from our Romulus warehouse is delivered or picked up through us.

Do you deliver in the winter?

Yes, year round. What we ask is that the driveway and walkway are cleared and salted before the truck arrives, because a crew carrying a two-hundred-pound dresser genuinely cannot navigate ice and a slushy path tracks straight into your house. If your street has access issues in snow, mention it when you schedule and we will plan around it.

Do I need to be home for the delivery?

Someone eighteen or older needs to be present to direct placement, inspect the item and sign the paperwork. Tell us in advance about anything that changes the approach — a walk-up apartment, an elevator that needs reserving, a gated community, a narrow street, a gravel drive or a tight basement stair — so the crew arrives prepared rather than discovering it at the curb.
